Governance & Moderation
Chapter IVXX is currently in its founding stage. Infrastructure and administrative access remain centralized because the service requires identifiable maintainers and secure operational control.
Current model
Day-to-day technical administration is handled by the site’s operators. Community rules and moderation are intended to be visible and understandable rather than arbitrary or hidden.
Moderation principles
- Rules should be published.
- Similar conduct should be treated consistently.
- Moderator actions should be accountable.
- Members should have a reasonable way to ask for clarification or review.
- Administrative and moderation authority should not be used to settle personal disagreements.
- Privacy violations, harassment, threats, scams, and attempts to compromise the service can justify immediate protective action.
Community participation
As Chapter IVXX matures, the goal is to increase member participation in community rules, moderation standards, major policy changes, and other decisions that materially affect membership.
Operational limits
Some infrastructure, security, anti-abuse, legal, and account-protection actions cannot be publicly disclosed in full because doing so could expose private information or weaken the security of the service.
