Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By creating or using a Chapter IVXX account, you agree to these Terms of Service and the Community Guidelines. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Eligibility

Chapter IVXX is intended for adults age 21 or older. By using the service, you represent that you meet this age requirement and are legally able to agree to these Terms.

3. Invitation and account access

Chapter IVXX currently operates by invitation. An invitation does not guarantee permanent access to the community.

Accounts are personal to the member who creates them. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for activity performed through your account.

Invitations should not be publicly distributed or used to create open registration.

4. Lawful use

You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to you.

Information shared on Chapter IVXX is provided for community and educational purposes. Nothing on the service should be interpreted as legal authorization to engage in activity prohibited in your jurisdiction.

5. Community conduct

Members must follow the Community Guidelines and respect the privacy and safety of other members.

Prohibited conduct includes harassment, credible threats, doxxing, impersonation used to deceive or harm, scams, spam, malicious attempts to compromise accounts or infrastructure, and using Chapter IVXX to arrange transactions that violate applicable law.

6. Member content

You retain ownership of content you create.

By submitting content to Chapter IVXX, you grant Chapter IVXX a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, reproduce, transmit, display, back up, and otherwise process that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, maintain, and provide the community service.

Chapter IVXX does not obtain ownership of your content merely because you posted it.

Chapter IVXX will not sell member-created content for advertising, data-brokerage, or commercial AI-model-training purposes.

7. Privacy of community content

Chapter IVXX is designed to limit unnecessary exposure of community content, but privacy depends partly on the conduct of members. A member who can view information may be technically capable of copying, photographing, or redistributing it.

Members are expected to respect the privacy of the community and other members. Chapter IVXX cannot guarantee that another member will never violate that trust.

8. Moderation

Chapter IVXX may moderate content and accounts to enforce the Community Guidelines, protect members, maintain the service, comply with law, and preserve the community.

Moderation practices should follow the community’s published governance and moderation principles where reasonably possible.

Immediate protective actions may be taken when necessary to address security incidents, credible threats, serious privacy violations, abuse, or legal requirements.

9. Availability and changes

Chapter IVXX is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, preservation of every piece of content, or compatibility with every device or browser.

Features may change as the community and infrastructure evolve.

10. Security

You may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, data, or infrastructure; intentionally interfere with the service; distribute malware; or test the security of the service without explicit authorization.

11. No professional advice

Community discussions may include cultivation, technical, legal, health, or safety topics. Member posts are not a substitute for qualified professional advice.

12. Disclaimer

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Chapter IVXX is provided without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted and error-free operation.

13. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Chapter IVXX and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of, inability to use, or reliance on the service.

14. Termination

You may stop using Chapter IVXX at any time.

Access may be suspended or terminated when reasonably necessary to enforce community rules, protect the service or its members, respond to security incidents, or comply with legal requirements.

15. Changes to these Terms

Material changes to these Terms will be identified by a new version and effective date. We will not silently make material changes to member privacy or ownership rights.

16. Governing law

No governing-law or venue clause has been specified in these Terms.
